Himandridine is a piperidine alkaloid with a complex polycyclic scaffold first isolated from Galbulimia sp., a magnolia native to northern Australia and South East Asia, and reported in 1967 by Ritchie and co-workers, University of Sydney, Australia. There are no specific reports of Himandridine’s biological activity, however the related himbacine and analogs inhibit muscarinic receptors with 10-fold selectivity for M2 over M1 receptors.
